The EX battery carries 20% more energy than the motocross VARG — good for a claimed 1.3 to 7 hours of riding. It refills in 1–2 hours on the included charge stand from a standard outlet.

From riders who made the switch

4.9 average from verified VARG EX owners

"Traded a 350 four-stroke for this. No clutch, no stalling, no oil changes — and the power maps mean my kid and I ride the same bike on very different settings."

Jake M. · Bend, OR · Verified buyer

"It's genuinely silent. I ride at 6 a.m. and the neighbors have no idea. The suspension and brakes are proper race equipment, not e-bike parts."

Colton R. · Phoenix, AZ · Verified buyer

"Plan around the battery: hammering fire roads drains it fast, but for two-to-three-hour technical loops it's perfect, and it recharges during lunch on the stand."

Questions, answered

Do I need a motorcycle license?

For street use, yes — the VARG EX is a homologated motorcycle, so it needs registration, insurance, and a motorcycle endorsement, same as any dual sport. For closed-course and private-land riding only, no license is required.

How does charging work?

The included charge stand plugs into a standard wall outlet and refills the 7.2 kWh pack in roughly 1–2 hours depending on the circuit. There's no proprietary charging network to worry about — a garage outlet is all you need.

What's the real-world range?

Stark claims 1.3 to 7 hours of ride time. In practice: aggressive open riding drains it in about an hour and a half, while technical trail pace stretches to several hours. It's built for trail loops, not 50-mile highway stints.

What maintenance does it need?

No oil, oil filters, air filter cleaning, clutch, or valve adjustments. You maintain the chain, brake pads, tires, and suspension — that's the list.

How does it ship?

By motor freight, fully assembled in a crate, with a signature required on delivery. Allow 2–4 weeks depending on your region. Freight cost is calculated at checkout.

What does the warranty cover?

Stark backs the VARG EX with a 2-year factory warranty covering the motor, battery, frame, and electronics. Wear items — tires, chain, sprockets, brake pads — are excluded.
